1. Use a plunger: If the drain is clogged, using a plunger can help to clear the blockage and improve drainage. Fill the sink or bathtub with a few inches of water, place the plunger over the drain, and push and pull the plunger to create suction that will dislodge the blockage.

2. Use a drain snake: A drain snake, also known as a plumbing snake, can clear blockages that a plunger cannot reach. Insert the snake into the drain and turn the handle to break up the blockage.

3. Use a baking soda and vinegar solution: A mixture of baking soda and vinegar can help to break up clogs and improve drainage. Pour baking soda into the drain, followed by a cup of vinegar. Let the mixture sit for a few hours, then flush the drain with hot water.

4. Remove the drain cover and clean it: Hair, soap scum and other debris can accumulate on the drain cover, slowing down the drainage. Remove the drain cover, clean it with soap and water, and replace it.
